Our Community
Home sweet home.
Tucson Homes Owners Assoc. is a small, gated community conveniently located in the eastern end of Palm Desert. The community was built in 1997-98 by award-winning developer Lance Alcano, featuring single-family homes built in southwestern/Santa Fe style. Although small, this is a community with a big heart with a population that ranges from junior to senior, dogs and cats, with part-timers, but mostly full time residents.
Within 5 miles of the community you will find just about everything you need: schools, golf courses, tennis, hiking, library, theater, and of course shopping and restaurants.
The Tucson Homes Owners Assoc. community is located on the west side of Washington St 2 miles south of I-10 and just north of Fred Waring Drive.
Ways to Get Involved
We believe that there’s a place for everyone to get involved in our community, whether you’re interested in leading as a board member, helping out on a committee or just getting to know your neighbors. Taking the time to get invested in where you live allows you to put down roots, serve the community and build lasting friendships with people nearby. If you’re not sure where to start, visit our Groups and Clubs page to find activities you can participate in with neighbors who share your interests.
Benefits of Living in a Community
There are several reasons the number of community associations has exploded from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands over the decades. The benefits our homeowners enjoy most are:
- Maintained Property Values. According to the Community Associations Institute, homes in managed communities are often worth 5 percent more than those in traditional communities.
- Amenities and Services. Our homeowners receive value in return for their choice to invest in a homeowners association.
- Sense of Community. Our community is a place to connect in a world that is increasingly disconnected.
